GSP Corrupted? Maybe not...

Is your copy of GigaStudio Corrupt?

GigaStudio 3 can have a tendency to crash when you close the application, causing the PC to restart. This is a side-effect of using a kernel-mode application: Windows never gets a chance to stay open, or to report the error.

This behavior may not be a problem - I have 2 Element PCs from Rain Recording, with GS 3.20, and every once in a while the machine restarts when I simply quit Giga. It has never caused any other problems, and no data has ever been lost or corrupted.

If this happens to you, you may get this error message next time you launch GigaStudio:

(name of file).gsp is possibly corrupted, and caused GigaStudio to crash last time. Do you wish to abort the loading process?

Click "No." The .gsp file is not corrupted, but GigaStudio assumes it was the reason for the crash.

This is another good reason to...

  1. Save your work before you quit
  2. Close GigaStudio last!
